To be able to choose what type of renditions you want for one or more videos before an upload and to be able to save them as a “Video profile ingest” in the manner of Brightcove, Dacast. This would avoid always going to Processing before uploading a video to define what type of renditions you specifically want. Very practical when you manage a VOD platform.
Also useful if you want certain videos to have DRM activated (sensitive movies, international movies...)

We have had this processing profile as a mediator step in the upload workflow, and we realized most people don't want this; this was a duplicate step.
If someone manages DRM vs. non-DRM videos, they usually keep two separate workspaces instead of putting both in one bucket.
